A good designer tries to reinvent the wheel. A great designer is resourceful and leverages tools to make their life easier.

While I absolutely love being creative and diving head first into development projects, I also employ the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentaility. Or, in some cases, "don't try to reinvent something if you don't have to." That being said, here are the resources and tools that make my life easier:

  • ChatGPT
    The OG AI tool. Literally anything you have a question about, ChatGPT has the answer.
  • Phoenix Code
    A lightweight text editor that makes it super simple to author HTML, CSS, JS and various other coding languages.
  • Jotform
    A robust form and workflow generating tool that offers external software integration, conditional logic and detailed customization.
  • Pico CSS
    A super lightweight CSS framework to get your web projects off the ground quickly.
  • Bootstrap
    One of the most widely-used and well-known website frameworks for creating clean and responsive websites.
  • SVGBackgrounds.com
    Free, scalable and vector-based background patters you can use for your web projects.
  • Pexels
    Offers free-to-download and royalty-free photography that you can include in any of your digital projects.
